e frontier , formerly Curious Labs, publishers of announced has released Shade 8 , a new version of its 3D modeling and rendering software. Shade 8 features network rendering, stronger modeling tools including polygon mesh editing, better integration with Poser, a new Toon renderer, faster Radiosity calculation and an improved Callisto renderer.

Wacom's new Graphire4 tablet starts at $99 and includes software that works with the pen to make it easy to jot notes, annotate documents, sign your name, sketch quick diagrams, and communicate more personally. Graphire4 also includes two ExpressKeys and a scroll wheel right on the tablet for easy navigation.
