Flip..? Who the Fook is Flip..? Hey dear reader... Yup I have t'internet access...albeit for a couple of hours... The brewery decided the new place needed a complete makeover... In other words three scousers and two cockneys arrived with big hammers... Three weeks later the carpets are in... False walls are built... And any exisiting telephone wires carefully (irony) ripped out... BT say ummm 10 days dude it's a big job... So no broadband for me for another couple of weeks... Currently looking after sis's house, kids and dog whilst they hit Blackpool... So at least I'm online for a couple of days... What have I been up to then..? Basically arguing with three scousers and two cockney builders on an hourly basis... Me and builders don't seem to hit it off...for some strange reason... Maybe it's the derisory way they look at me when I ask why a wall needed to be built in the middle of my lounge... Lots of head scratching before they mumbled something about fire regulations... Cue me pointing out the partion wall was directly infront of the gas fire... Ummm they said before breaking out the big hammers...knocking down a days work before moving it three feet... You couldn't make this shit up... The kitchen used to be huge... Now due to fire regulations the "bit with the cooker in" resembles a cubby hole... But the "fire door" is pretty sturdy... So I have a cooker room in which you cannot swing let alone cook a cat... But very nice sink and work surfaces in another room! The sink finally tipped the macho builder boys over the edge as far as Flip'isms are concerned... I arrived back early and pointed out I liked the colour of the sink... Bright blue... It's a protective plastic film they snarled...we'll peel it off when it's tiled in... Ooops...building/DIY has never been my strong point...hehe... Sapphy dislikes builders with a passion... That bird is an effing vampire whined one who had of course stuck his finger in her cage... With me she's getting a lot better... I finally learned to cover her cage at 8pm... Now she sleeps like a baby and seems more settled... Unless I run out of Millet and Honey sticks... She stares sadly at the gap in the cage where the goodies normally hang... Before screeching like a banshee from hell... For bloody hours... I found myself stumbling around the all night supermarket in the wee small hours hunting Millet... I swear to God it's the Cockatiel cannabis... Still no joy on the love front... Though to be honest I ain't really looking... Still too soon... Plus I get a little tired of "my mum fancies you...she was the one with me in the asda queue... Do you fancy her..?" Errr...no but are you free...hehe... I suggested a singles night in my too cool to be true local... Ummm said Andy the gaffer... Problem is mate...the only people who'll turn up will be the pensioners George and Graham... My cook and the gay barman...and you...so naw... Aaah well...hehe...could've been a fun night hehe... The cook by the way is great...she keeps giving me Inspector Morse books to read... Moans when I don't shave - designer stubble...bah...you look like a Big Issue seller... And reckons the three different shades of pink shirt I own make me look like a "nancy boy" muahahahaaaaa... But man does she do a great home made pizza... My relationship with my son is better than I can ever remember... We've had some great days out... Lots of serious chats...but mainly loads of fun... Culminating with a day out with him and his g/friend last week... She is wonderful and they are an obvious couple... Only a couple of blips on the Flip radar... I bumped into soon to be ex for the first time in months... We actually spoke and I hugged her... Then I ran off...hehe... Life for her it seems is superb... I'm glad in a begrudgingly infuriatingly Flip way... Some things I hear hurt...but hey time is indeed a healer... Now I only sob into my beer twice a day rather than all day... That was a joke btw..er...hehe... Course I love her...course I miss her... But even I reckon her and body builder boy are sickeningly loved up... So who'd want a sad old hasbeen like me... Aaah well... I started a fitness regime... Running up stairs and not eating chinese takeaway... Seems to have done the trick hehe... This time next year I might have lost two pound hehe... There's a bloke moved into the room down the corridor for a couple of weeks... He's a pub regular and split for his wife hehe...so we have a bit in common to say the least... However given it's just days for him... I do my best to avoid him as he wants to talk about it... Man I can be so unsensitive... And finally my mother sent a letter to my sister begging to allow Chav nephew and his annoying g/friend to move into the pub... She called me downstairs...bought me a pint and told me... To say I blew my stack was an understatement... Don't worry she said... I'll tell him to get stuffed... In other words he'll be in next week then... And that dear reader will put me back at square one... Looking for a place to live... For rap muzac deep fat friers at 5am and a gang of chavs in my bolthole... Will indeed push my legendary patience to the very limits... Somethings it seems...never change... So... Anyone got a sofa..? You couldn't make this shit up... Peace and love to you and yours... I'm off to look for a suitable Xmas present for the woman who's got everything... Any ideas..? Catcha...
