Northwestern Ontario artists. A donation from the Royal Canadian
Thunder Bay Art Gallery invites visual artists and craftspeople
up to a maximum of $1,000 per artist per fiscal year. The minimum

Mandate Expanded
The Board of Directors of the Gallery recently approved an expansion
of the collecting mandate to include the work of Thunder Bay and
Academy of Arts Trust Fund has made it possible for the Thunder
Bay Art Gallery to make its first purchase in a new important
collecting area, with the purchase of an acrylic on canvas by
Ruth Tye McKenzie. The painting, entitled Lake Nipigon Shoreline
#5 was included in a retrospective of McKenzies's work organized
by the Gallery in January 2003.
The
living in Northwestern Ontario to apply for financial assistance
for costs related to an upcoming exhibition of their work. Deadlines
for submission are January 15, 2005. Funding is for eligible expenses
grant level is $500. This program is funded by the Visual and
Media Arts Office of the Ontario Arts Council. For application

Bay Art Gallery.
